Act

Taking action as a result of the employee survey findings is crucial.

Your agreed action plan now needs to be implemented. In most cases the action plan will include:

1. Changes that are to be made to processes and/or behaviours
2. Changes that are to be made to conditions or benefits
3. Issues and concerns that have been raised by employees that are not being met or only partly being met

This provides two challenges to the management team. The first is one of communication. A clear communication plan needs to be devised and implemented well, explaining why actions are being prioritised and other matters are not. This is a key area to get right.

The second challenge concerns implementation of change. This can impact key processes or changing out of date working practices. It may involve establishing a new set of values, improving collaboration between departments, or developing management skills. Our consulting team can help with many of these tasks and will work with you if needed, but only if it is an area where we have genuine expertise.
